The Granite State Health & Fitness Foundation is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to supporting the community and promoting health and fitness throughout the region. Donations to the GSHFF are tax deductible. See IRS determination attached below.

The Granite State Health and Fitness Foundation, a not for profit organization striving to promote and support health, fitness and wellness lifestyle experiences and opportunities. We are inclusive of all members of our community. Utilizing a variety of alliance partners and resources, we will support events, organizations and programs in our mutual missions to improve lives by fostering and engaging a diverse group of key health and wellness constituents. 

  • 2007 – Manchester Marathon Association established
  • 2007 – First Manchester City Marathon and Half-marathon races
  • 2012 – Hurricane Sandy, MCM supports of outplaced New York City Marathoners
  • 2017 – Manchester Marathon Association becomes Granite State Health and Fitness Foundation
  • 2018 – The first annual Glen Lake Swim
  • 2020 – The Granite State Health and Fitness Foundation earns independent 501(c)(3) status

The Granite State Health and Fitness Foundation’s Board of Directors (BoD) is a recognized group of volunteers who are dedicated to its mission and provide oversight of its associated services and activities. The BoD focuses on the strategic planning and coordination of activities related to its mission statement, while the actual management and delivery of events and programs are delegated to BoD approved organizations or committees. The BoD meets a minimum of 4 times per year. BoD members will serve a minimum of 2 consecutive 3 year terms. The BoD focuses on:

  • Being involved in community oriented health and fitness events or organizations.
  • Being enthusiastic towards health and fitness.
  • Having a desire to contribute their skills and experiences to the future growth of the Granite State Health and Fitness Foundation.
  • Being recognized as a positive and contributing member to organizations they are involved in.
