The Granite State Health & Fitness Foundation is proud to support the Glen Lake Swim! This is a one AND two mile professionally-timed swim race in picturesque Glen Lake in Goffstown, New Hampshire for experienced swimmers. In 2022 the event will take place on Sunday August 14th and is being held to raise funds to support local outdoor recreational opportunities and to promote aquatic safety. The Granite State Health & Fitness Foundation is pleased to help support the Greater Manchester PMC Kids Ride. In 2005 PMC Kids Rides became an official PMC program as a way to include young cyclists in the Pan-Mass Challenge’s mission of raising money for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Since then, the PMC Kids Rides program has raised over $8 million, with 100% going directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Visit the Greater Manchester PMC Kids Ride website for more information.
The GDTC Kid's Summer Fun Runs is a weekly free activity held in July and August at the Londonderry High School Track and is supported in part by the Granite State Health & Fitness Foundation. It is open to children from any town or city. Members of the Greater Derry Track Club lead stretching exercises and offer running tips. 2-3 year olds run approximately 50 yards, 4-6 year-olds run 200 meters, 7-8 year-olds run 300 meters, 9-10 year-olds run 600 meters, 11-13 year old run the cross country mile, and 14 and older run the open mile. The Granite State Health & Fitness Foundation originated the Manchester City Marathon, Half Marathon and Relay in 2007. This event, held in early November, has been recognized since its inception as New Hampshire's premier running event. In 2019 we sold the rights to this event to Millennium Running.
